Thanks. Deciding whether to go see him. Sounds very interesting!
this is fantastic, I've been taking this great journey through Mr. Riley's ouvre, what a blast, especially the recent music! thank you for this, and this great recording ❤️
Berg's VC is a magnificent, remarkable work and deeply emotional. A wonderful summary of the key moments in this piece.
Beautiful. Thanks for posting!
I enjoy hearing Andre Watts talk about music in what was the winter of his career. I saw and met him a few times; he was my piano hero. We miss him very much, now.
I really like the tempi in this performance. This piece has a large sense of urgency, and too many conductors take a leisurely pace.
It’s great to see Toby was honored while he was alive . May he rest in peace

Very impressive to have an orchestra of this caliber in a place not known for classical music.
Should I make it to Nashville, the Nashville Symphony Orchestra will be a top priority! This orchestra should be highly respected and recognized!
Paul Jacobs is the most remarkable Organist in the world! He played on the organ in 2011 a Marathon of 18 hours for Bach's birthday receiving a Grammy. Congratulations, you are the best!❤
Very many thanks, Giancarlo. I heard the Cooke 'Performing Version' pretty much as soon as it appeared on record. Since then I've heard (I think) two other versions. I want to re-listen to both, or all three, in light of what you said. As to that drum - a shock, a total disruption, completely unexpected and devastating. Cuts across life itself, compels a different view. Strike that drum with fury and anger! A near - but not quite - mortal blow. I'm thinking of a couple of events in my own life that were as unexpectedly disruptive. I can feel that drum as an event. I've been an (im)perfect Mahlerite since late teenage - now sixty years back. I find his music as fresh as ever. Thanks to Lenny Bernstein's 1961 recording of Mahler 3.
Ah yes! This performance makes me giggle and kick my tootsies like a little schoolgirl hehe.... AbsoLUTEly outstanding fingerboard work by sire Francis on the lute !!! I beg for more!

Such a marvellous man! Such spendid music!
Extraordinary - Joy - great musician!
Goated piano professor
The first few bars of Ode to Joy are note for note the same as a passage from Mozart's k222.
Estimated profit vibe
Chromelodeon also the name of my friends’ video game/epic/indie rock band from the early 2000’s
Very helpful listening guide!
Brand new release! A lively piece for full Orchestra and Piano in seven-time, hope to lift your Summer spirits- in seven! ua-cam.com/video/H-lTJFy40qU/v-deo.html Thanks!
Go Pens!
RIP king
would love to be able to find the full version of this performance if possible!
Any orchestra would fare better with any other conductor thanfostet
Mr. Pratt, are you ever going to sell or auction off any of Mr. Williams’ used coffee mugs? I so want a souvenir from him, but couldn’t afford the guitar you offered.
The Violin' s of Hope project came here( Buenos Aires- Arg.) in march 2023, and I attended a concert with one of those violin' s at the Sinagogue negro home, it was really touching !!! thinking of the history of that violin, introduced by the luthier Avshalom Weinstein from Tel Aviv,Who with his father is in charge of restauration!!! of those violins.
Wow, you can play in Dortmund Germany NRW in the Concert House or in the Opera House or in the Theatre 😊❤
I heard you play this in Springfield MA about 25 years ago. Wonderful performance!
thanks Larry.
Very cool. But why is it so slow? Ohhhhhh….. union hours more hours more pay. Smart.
I am enjoying your channel direct from Music City enjoying your interview with the talented composer Michael Daugherty. Since I am new to your channel I plan on viewing the videos you have posted plus plan to enjoy your directors conducting with the Nashville Symphony.
When I was only 10 years old I discovered Beethovens music, I was fascinated with his symphonies, and his 8th was always my favourite, I wrote my first song at that age and many more since but only 5 years ago i decided to teach myself how to write classical pieces, in this 5 years I managed to write 2 symphonies, 2 violin concertos, one piano concertos and many other pieces, these were all written note by note on my iPad. I can only play basic piano and guitar, I read music like how a 6 year old would read a book. But music is in my heart, I have always believed like many others it was in Beethoven heart too but he understood music beyond every one else, his music will never die, if only I could write like he did.
Nothing tops the 3rd, no exception!
well done !
Go nephew
Marvelous ! Thank you for sharing these insights !
I don't think dodecaphonic music to be consoling or healing in any way. Garbage.
Yo me apunto
Just saw Joyce play Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto No.2 last night with the Amarillo Symphony. Wonderful! It was a very emotional experience for me as that is my favorite piece.
